WELCOME to the site of Wade Edwards Foundation and Learning Lab in Raleigh, North Carolina.  If you are a high school student, these pages are for you. 

The Wade Edwards Foundation and Learning Lab is a computer and learning center. We provide advanced computer facilities, including word processing equipment, Internet access, email capability and study support to students in a convenient after-school environment.

Here, you will find an abundance of helpful information and services. We are a free after school program for high school students. You can find information to assist you with your homework, after school activities, available opportunities, and info on colleges and other options after you graduate. You will also find information about Wade Edwards and the projects undertaken in his name by the Wade Edwards Foundation, including the Wade Edwards Short Fiction Contest, a Place in Time, and the principal project, the Wade Edwards Learning Lab.

The Wade Edwards Foundation is a public, non profit organization, with charitable organization status under Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(3) founded in 1996 to honor the life and spirit of Wade Edwards by supporting other young people in the pursuit of the virtues of honor, determination, responsibility, and charity. The Foundation supports activities that honor these qualities in students of achievement as well as activities that encourage all students to strive for excellence.

The Foundation has partnered with various non profits to provide greater services to the academic and non profit community, including the Department of Public Instruction, the Wake County Public School System, Needham B. Broughton High School and its PTA and its feeder schools, the North Carolina English Teachers' Association, The Wake Education Partnership, Carolina Global Schoolhouse, the Voice of America, the National Endowment for the Humanities, Kids Voting, Playspace, Communities in Schools, Project Enlightenment, Princeton Review, and the Alice Aycock Poe Health Center.
