LEARNING LAB   

    The Wade Edwards Learning Lab is located at 714 St. Mary's Street, across the street from Needham B. Broughton High School, in Raleigh, North Carolina.

       The WELL is open after school 3:00 to 10:00 Sunday through Thursday and 3:00 to 7:00 on Fridays.  It is closed on Saturdays.  If the WELL is open now, you can view the live cam to see what is happening.

      Students who use the WELL get free e-mail and access to the internet, free printing for academic purposes, and access to tutoring and on-site assistance. Students and their parents sign a membership agreement in order to use the WELL's resources.

HONOR SOCIETY TUTORS

   The Broughton Chapter of the National Honor Society has, as one of its service projects, a tutoring program at the WELL.  Monday through Thursday afternoons Honor Society members are available for peer tutoring. This project won the Broughton Chapter a national service award two years ago.

THE WELL AND THE COMMUNITY

    The WELL, when available, may be used by non-profit groups in the community for training provided by the group itself or by the WELL staff. Several area non-profit organizations and educational groups have partnered with the WELL including Carolina Global Schoolhouse, Kids Voting, Playspace, Communities in Schools, Project Enlightenment - a program of the Wake County Public School System, Princeton Review, and the Alice Aycock Poe Health Center.
